Steps causing the bug to occur

  1. Load “SkimMovie” example
  2. Run it, It works fine with the supplied video
  3. Attach a URL for a long video, at least 5000 frames long, prores, 1920x1080, 30 fps
  4. Run and attempt to scrub. The movie doesn’t move at all, or moves a little and hangs

Other notes

  • Vuo version: 2.0.0-beta1
  • macOS version: macOS 10.14
  • How severely does this bug affect you? It prevents me from completing a specific task with Vuo.

This problem exists in 1.2.8 as well.

@David, thanks for reporting this performance bug. Confirmed that we can reproduce the problem. The code is doing a lot of unnecessary work while seeking (decoding frames that are just being skimmed past).
