Frames drop when using "Send Image via Syphon" and "Enqueue" node

Steps causing the bug to occur

  1. Open the attached composition
  2. Integrate a video from your filesystem
  3. Start the composition
  4. At first the composition runs smooth with 30fps as expected
  5. When the composition loader is not the active window, the frames drop down to 1fps

When I replace the “Send Image via Syphon” node with a “Render Image to Window” node the issue disappears.
When I remove two of the “Get Item from List” elements the issue disappears.

This might be related to Macs power nap feature!?
I thought these issues are fixed?

I tested in on a Mac Mini (Late 2014). My colleague was able to reproduce using his MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012).

Other notes

  • Vuo version: 1.2.3
  • macOS version: OS X 10.10
  • How severely does this bug affect you? It’s annoying but I can work around it.

Argh, I thought they were fixed, too. Not sure if we missed this the first time around or if an Apple software update made apps sleepier.

Anyway, we were able to reproduce the problem and confirmed that it’s an untimely App Nap. We’ll provide a fix in the upcoming 1.2.4 release.
