How to track a Kinect skeleton?

[Edit:] I recommend the Filter Skeleton node (added in Vuo 1.2.4). That is now the easiest way.

One way is to have NIMate do the actual tracking and have the Vuo composition receive OSC messages from NIMate. See the nice demonstration by Michele Cremaschi on in his community spotlight.

Michele’s video points to some files to download from http://michelecremaschi.it/a-vuo-plugin-for-nimate/ . Since the .vuo file on that page was made with an early version of Vuo and doesn’t work with more recent versions, I’ve attached an updated version.

P.S. There’s a feature request for a skeletal tracking node set. Please vote for that if you’re interested!
