parallel light source


I’m tryng to create a 3d-scene with several static objects being lit up. Point light is fine for some situations but I would like to do something similar to the parallel light available i 3d-software like Cinema 4D.

Does anybody have an idea on how to accomplish this? A workaround with some type of blend-function?

A point light placed far enough away from your objects would cast nearly parallel rays. See attached composition for an example. (If making the light farther away, you might have to increase its Range.) Does that give the effect you want?
