Steps causing the bug to occur

  1. Create a composition and add a subcomposition
  2. Drag into VDMX
  3. VDMX Crashes

Have you found a workaround?

Export the Vuo composition as an app and load into VDMX as a Syphon source.

  • Vuo version: 2.0.3
  • macOS version: macOS 10.13
  • How severely does this bug affect you? It’s annoying but I can work around it.

I’ve attached a file containing Visiophone’s Spherical Coordinates subcomp as this example, but have tested with a number of of my own subcomps too.

Accepted. This is related to a bug we corrected in Vuo 2.0.3. It expands our original fix to cover subcompositions. In the meantime, you can export your composition as an FFGL plug-in, and use that with VDMX. We’ve tested that and it works for us.

Please be aware that the fix will need VIDVOX to update their software to include the version of the Vuo framework that has the code change for the fix to take effect.
