Steps causing the bug to occur

1. Publish a port from a composition
2. Name the port starting with a number e.g.: 1stSlider
3. Unable to continue writing stslider
4. Works ok if you place a letter before number, e.g.: My1stSlider works

Have you found a workaround?

Don’t use a number 1st! :-)

• macOS version: macOS 10.12

Confirmed. Currently Vuo requires that a published port name either be entirely numeric or begin with an alphabetic character. That rule has to do with the way published ports are stored in .vuo files (Graphviz format), but we could change how they’re stored to remove the naming restriction.
