Steps causing the bug to occur

  1. Using W7 Google Chrome
  2. go to vuo.org
  3. hit the log in button
  4. log in
  5. directed to front page again, not logged in

Have you found a workaround?

going to any page other than the vuo.org front page able to log in.

Other notes

  • How severely does this bug affect you? Not much; I’m just letting you know about it.

I have the website saving my login credentials.

Weird. So far we haven’t been able to reproduce the problem. When you say W7, you mean Windows 7? We don’t have Windows 7 here, but we tried Chrome 50 on Windows 10 and Chrome 47 and 50 on Mac. Tried starting with both http://vuo.org and https://vuo.org, in a new incognito window.

Did the problem just start happening within the past 2 weeks? If so, it’s likely related to a content experiment we’re running on the front page (where it randomly shows one of two variations each time you view the page).

@krezrock, if you (or anyone else) have any idea what might be the trick to reproducing this problem, or could provide a screen capture, please let us know.

windows 7 indeed.

yes it started in the past 2 weeks, since the compositions were added (Nice addition, BTW). It happened on OSX 10.10 Safari yesterday. I’ll try to reproduce and screen capture it.

Figured it out — Because of the content experiment, there was a series of redirects happening that landed in the wrong place after logging in. We’ve disabled the content experiment for logged-in users, so this bug should be fixed now.
