Why does the "select input" only have two inputs?

Why does the “select input” only have two inputs? Are these kind of improvements already included in the roadmap somewhere or do we need to ask for them? Also is there a directory scanner node available?

@blackburst: Good question.

It’s a temporary workaround. (Nodes with a variable number of inputs, such as the Add and Multiply nodes, cannot currently distinguish which port the event came in on, which is needed for Select nodes.) We’re planning to fix that in the near future. I just added it to the roadmap, under the 0.5.11 release.

Also is there a directory scanner node available?

Not yet, but soon — that’s planned for 0.5.10.

Can you maybe make the nodeset roadmap public so we don’t continually ask for nodes that are already planned?

bLackburst,

We hear you. We are in the process of figuring out how to make our plans more transparent.

Sometimes, though, the feature request process makes things happen. For example, Joeladria wanted a flip image node. It wasn’t in our plans, but we thought it was a good idea, and Karl agreed to fit it in, since he was doing similar work for the next release. So, you ask, we listen.
